Kayla's new mouth

Well yesterday was the day, she had her tooth pulled. The first hour after she wasent doing to good but by the time we got home she was fine. (her dentist is in Salt Lake) She loves sticking her tounge through the hole and when i tried to get pictures she kept doing it so I told her if she let me take one of a normal smile she could stick her tounge out in the next picture. They gave her her tooth and she put it under her pillow last night and the tooth fairy came. I asked her if she wanted to put her money in her piggy bank or go to the store and get something. So we will be going to the store later so she can pick something out. She lookd different with the hole but still cute!

Kayla's new backpack

Kayla got a backpack for school and the other night i was in the kitchen cooking dinner when I came out to our living room to find Gracie like this. She likes to put things on her head and walk around. She does it with the doll blankets all the time and runs into things. She is so funny!

Kayla Preschool open house

Kayla is so excited for preschool, she asks me everyday when she is going so we made a countdown chain. Also she always points out the house that is at. Today was the day we got to go meet her teachers and see her classroom. She was so excited for this, we got there and she followed the alphabet up the walk way and down the stairs but as soon as we got in the door she froze and attached herself to me. I did not expect this since she has been so excited about going. She wouldnt even tell them her name which she usually tells anyone who asks her. One of the teachers was great with her pointing out all the things that she was wearing that matched kayla. By the end she had warmed up a little. I am sure she will have a little bit of a hard time on Tuesday but i think she will get over it fast.

Primary Activity

On Saturday we had our primary activity it was a fun back to school activity. The kids did 4 craft projects. We decorated bags, pencils,bookmarks, and notebooks. The kids had lots of fun and did such a cute job on everything, here is some pictures of the projects.

My Work Party

We had my work party last Friday and Kayla wanted to get her face painted. We stood in line for 1/2 hour since there was only one clown and she was trying to do a good job. When it was her turn she decided on the princess mask. This is the most face paintinf she has had done so far. She really likes to get her face painted. She looks so cute!

New Toys

We went to the dollar store to get Kayla some crafts so she would be occupied by something new and while we were there we found this boa and crowns and wands so of coarse I had to get pics. and we just did Gracies year pics and we did a few of them together and we used the crowns and wands for some of them.

Going to the Park

We walked to the park the other day so the kids could play and I could get some exercise. They had fun sliding, going across the bridge, and swinging. Here are some pics. of them.

Kayla dentist checkup

Kayla had her dentist checkup the other day which did not go so well. She had no new cavaties which was good but one of here crowns on her front tooth did not work she has an infected tooth and the only other thing to do is get her tooth pulled. Which will happen next week. I cant imagine her having a big gap in her mouth. Especially since those permenant teeth dont come in until they are 7 or 8. We can at anytime in the future get a retainer thing that holds a fake tooth in its place but insurence does not cover it so we dont know if we will do that but we will see since we have many years and we can do it anytime. The other downfall is that because those four fake teeth had silver backs now that there will be a hole you will see the silver. I guess after next wendsday we will see what it loks like. We may get use to the gap, who knows we will have to see. I still am not sure though since her big beautiful smiles are all front teeth. Maybe though that is why she started sucking her thumb both the sore and the thumbucking came at the same time so I just thought it had to with that.

Update on losing weight

The last couple of weeks I have been on an antibiotic and that causes you to gain weight lucky for me I didnt gain but I didnt lose either so it was frustrating. When I went last night I lost 3 pounds so that made me so happy. Made up for not losig before.

Losing Weight

As some of you know I have been going to Weight Watchers and I now have lost 23 pounds. I am so happy about that but I still have along way to go. I will keep you up dated on that.

Erda Days

Kayla and Gracie went to Erda days with my parents. They got their faces painted and Kayla got polka dotted hair. (She is really into polka dots she finds them on everything). Gracies face paint had rubbed off. But I got a picture of Kaylas hair. It is blue and orange. She looked so cute.

Our new family members

As some of you know we got two new puppies. We have had them for three weeks. They are getting so big. The kids love them. Here they are playing together.

Matts new shoes

Matt got some new shoes for work so of course the box they came in became a toy. Here is Gracie chilling in the box watching baby einstien and having a cracker.
