Kayla's Birthday Party

Our sweet 6 year old who loves to pose for every picture and wants me to take lots. She sometimes has really funny poses that don't look so good but usually I can find a couple of good ones but on this occasion this was the only one that looked good. She sure does keep life intresting and fun;) We love her so much!!

The Barbie/Pirate cake. We did barbie and pirates since we were having boys at the party. So the barbie dress is cake and the treasure chest is cake. I was so proud of this cake it was my best one with foundant. I loved how dress turned out with it's gathers and sparkle(2 things you can't really see on the pictures.) In the end I don't know who loved it more me or Kayla:)

Playing a game called thief, thief. The purpose is to try and steal a piece of treasure from infront of the blindfolded person. (Nobody had a problem stealing stuff, so it didn't quite work the way it was suppose to but, they seem to have fun)

Doing the pinate. Unfourtunatly it was to wet outside for candy to bo everywhere so we had to do it inside which ment a pull string instead of hitting it. Not as fun but, the kids still enjoyed it.

Kayla turns 6!!!

Our big 6 year old! I can't believe how the time flies, it is crazy that she is 6. Some things about our very special beautiful daughter. She is an amazing big sister and takes care of her sisters so well, she is a beautiful talented dancer and loves dancing so much, she is very smart and loves school, she makes friends where ever she goes and loves everyone, she is always smiling and everyone tells me how much they enjoy that, and as she gets older she is getting this little sassy attitude that is just so hard not to laugh at sometimes, she is totally girly and loves wearing skirts, dresses, and boots, she loves the gospel and knows that we will be with heavenly father, Jesus Christ, and her cousin Cheyenne again someday, I could go on and on about how wonderful she is, we have been so blessed to have her as part of our family and I am so glad she chose to come to us 6 years ago and bring her beautiful sunshine soul into our everyday lives. Love you my Kayla Bear!!!

Kayla really wanted to have a bowling party for her birthday but since we were new we invited her whole class and since that would be alot of people to take bowling we compromised with her and went bowling as a family on her birthday and then had a kids party at our house on sat.(those pics will be the next post)

Kayla opening presents from us and both sets of grandparents. Paisley gave her a barbie, Gracie gave her a leapster game, we gave her an outfit, a hannah montana cd, and a bike, the wilcox grandparents gave her jewelry and a barbie, and the zumwalt grandparents gave her a birthday outfit and will give her other presents when they come in july.

Gracie does not love dance like Kayla does so when we moved we decieded to try something new. I showed her some gymnastics on the internet to see if she was intrested in it then when we got here I took her to check it out and she loved it. She wanted to stay that day but I told her we had to wait until we signed her up for class. So 2 days later (with alot of excitment) she started gymnastics. She loves, loves it!!! They rotate what they do on different days so I had to take pictures of 2 different days but she can't get enough of it. She prays everynight thanking heavenly father for it. She also told Matt that she loves it so much more than dancing.
